On 25 November 2021 the online event “Georgia and Ukraine: Similarities and Differences in the Context of Disinformation”, co-organized by the Liberal Academy Tbilisi and EAST Center, offered an opportunity to discuss the Disinformation Resilience Index findings. The event, moderated by Alexandra Kalatozishvilli of the Public Movement Multinational Georgia (PMMG) and aimed mostly at Georgian experts and NGOs in the respective field, featured Lasha Tughushi, Director of the Liberal Academy Tbilisi Foundation, StopFake expert Olga Yurkova, and Veronica Laputska of the EAST Center as speakes. Pavel Havlíček, co-editor of the 2021 DRI report and Research Fellow at the Prague-based Association for International Affairs, made introductory remarks.
The DRI project, supported by the Visegrad Fund and GMF, provides an overview of changes which have taken place in the institutional and regulatory framework and media landscape of 10 Central and Eastern European countries since 2018. The 2021 Disinformation Resilience Index study covers four Visegrad countries (Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) and six Eastern Partnership states (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine).
