The report reviews Chinese narratives on the topic of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.
The brief paper authored by AMO’s Filip Šebok, with contribution of EAST Center, AMO, and the Adapt Institute experts, reviews China’s coverage of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine based on the study of Radio International localised content in Czechia and Poland and the messaging of Slovak political actors. It concludes that although China’s primary objectives have centered on exploiting the situation to undermine the US and enhance its own global image, in practice, they have echoed Russian propaganda positions.
